First night with a newborn, holy, I am tired! I forgot what it was like to be up every few hours. The best part about this morning is the baby pooped on my 17 year old daughter! I definitely need a nap, between teaching my 6 year old, tutoring my older kids, making breakfast, lunch and dinner, I think I might be able to sneak it in!
This placement is just for a short period of time, until mom gets situated. I can't wait for mom to show up today and help. I'm going to take advantage.
Fostering youth has been one of the most rewarding and most difficult things I have ever done! It has always been a dream of mine to make a difference and I am still trying and still working hard. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and ask myself, "what did I do"! But then, the kids, both foster and bio, will do something amazing and make it all worth it.
Okay. Onward with the day! I'm going to get in the shower, fix my hair, change my sheets (because a bottle leaked after I forgot it turned over in my bed after I fell asleep), make breakfast, (it feels like a cereal type of morning) make the strongest cup of coffee I can, (I think I need an espresso machine), put my big girl panties on and keep going!
I have got this! This is my beautiful chaos!!
