Hello tumblr, it’s been a while. A little over a month since i last logged in, but much, much, much longer than that since I was seriously involved in tumblr.

In the past few years, I moved out of my abusive childhood home, got married, and have matured in so many ways that I could not have imagined in the past. But I want to keep this short so I really just want to talk about what is going to change for my blog.

I’m not going to come on every day. From now on, it’s just going to be an expression of whatever I like and whatever I feel like sharing, regardless of how others feel about it. I’ll still tag things, but that’s really it. I don’t want to feel bogged down.

But. That is not the most important thing that I want to talk about here.

If you are under 18 years old, this is a message for you:

I don’t want you following me.

Obviously, I can’t stop you if you choose to continue following me. But I refuse to take responsibility for any affect the contents of my blog have on underage people.

I have also noticed a rift forming between myself/people my age and teenagers of today. That’s fine. It’s a different generation. One that I’m not part of. But it means that my moral and social values are not the same as the average younger user of tumblr. My views on social justice, feminism, policing, etc. are different from those of the average genx-er on this site. And I also have a completely different maturity level than a kid with a still developing brain would have.

I’m 26 years old. In the grand scheme of things, that’s not that old. But in a case like this, it’s so very different from the current generation of kids growing up and experiencing the world as it is now. I’m just not likely to mesh with a 15 year old on a site like this where we share some of our most personal interests and opinions about the world and society.

That’s why I ask you to unfollow me if you are under 18. In fact, I would prefer anyone under 20-21 in general to not interact with me. I am a child-free adult with my own concerns, and I just don’t want to interact with children in any way if I don’t have to. I’m an adult with my own slew of problems, just trying to survive in this difficult society and coping with it by shipping cartoon characters. I don’t want to get into any arguments with children on here. I just want to continue to enjoy these things and be an adult who interacts with other adults without having to fit into a bunch of childrens’ ideas of what is the right and wrong way to express my interests. I don’t care anymore. I have more than enough to deal with and I don’t think my sharing a drawing of a fictional incestuous relationship is worth anybody getting up in arms about it.

I rewatched all their old shows and I finally watched all the new musicals since the last time I was really into them. The Trail to Oregon (which is now rivaling Twisted in my top spot), Firebringer (absolutely fantastically gay and I love it), and The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals (which is literally the best piece of media in the horror-comedy genre I’ve ever seen).

I also watched Ani but we’re not gonna talk about um... whatever that was.....

But anyway, let’s just focus on the positive.
