#6176 Four Winds Apricity (Canada) Back on my BC ish. I have such a deep love for Four Winds, not only because the team behind the beer are just so genuine and cool af, but also because their products are genuinely of such a high quality. Apricity, which is an old English word for “the warmth of the sun on a winter’s day”, is a 7.3% Foeder-Aged maple and plum sour, it pours somewhat like a Flanders Red with a foamy head and a funky nose, the body is chewy and smooth, the malt presence balances perfectly with the tart plums, there’s some red wine vinegar vibes, the maple is subtle but provides a great backbone, it’s sweet and delicate, complex with some Bretty funk, ending in a dry, clean finish.
