At first I thought this holiday beer was like a Scotch Ale but with Rum, but it’s kind of it’s own unique thing. Coming in at 7.3%, it pours an opaque brown with a quickly dissipating head and a sweet nose with tons of spices, the body is creamy with immediate spiced rum vibes, there’s nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla, it’s also brewed with sugar cane molasses so there’s a date-y sweetness, it’s sticky, lightly carved with a dry, smooth finish.
