I'm in a vintage amplification kind of mood today (and every day for that matter!) so here is a February 1954 #5C1 #Fender #Champ spotted on my last visit to @folkwaymusic
From the #Folkway website: "Its circuitry is remarkably original, with just one new coupling capacitor in the signal chain. Lupa’s name is clearly visible on the little piece of masking tape that she installed inside the chassis when she finished wiring it up. Its tubes, ungrounded plug, handle, tweed and grill cloth are all factory original; but the speaker is a modern Jensen replacement. The amplifier works properly and breaks up quick and nicely. If you wanted to service it you’d surely coax more headroom and overall volume; but we’ve left it as found due to its near total originality."
PS: Call the shop before going in to pick this one up because it may have sold yesterday at the @elmiravintageguitars show!
