🧡 - kissing in bed / lazy kiss / cuddling

Everything has slowed down. The world blurs at the edges. Max takes a deep, deep breath. If he focuses, he can see little patterns in the rough lines of the ceiling, in the wires of the unscrewed smoke detector. He can smell the chocolate fudge and cider on Aatu’s breath from here. But actually, he’s not as far from her as he thought, ‘cause her face is right there.

“Max,” Aatu says, her speech not quite clear to him but still intelligible.

He blinks at her, looks down at where her cherry red lips are parted gently, inches away from his own. “What?” he asks.

Aatu clicks her tongue, shifts on the couch. The movement pulls her shorts inwards, the hem eaten up by her thighs.

“You wanna make out?” she says.

It takes Max a second to understand it, but he nods—and it’s real easy to open his mouth and let her tongue slip in, the taste of the edibles still present in her saliva.
