4 days in Rhodes is what I needed recently...
I have recently spent 4 days in my favourite place, that being Rhodes! I had a small chance to de-stress and take sometime for myself. That distress for me could be just sitting at the bar with a beer or prosecco with music playing in the background. The other way would be just having a nice lay in and walking down to the pool when I feel like it. No housework to do or nothing. Woo!
I think that without those four days I think I would have had a breakdown at home just due to the stress of being back at work, fighting for my pay from my previous boss and dealing with people from my past. I haven’t even had a chance to relax recently as my life is so hectic.
Being in Rhodes has given me some quality time with my mum as that doesn’t really happen much anymore just because I don’t live with her and everything else seems to take over. We laughed, ranted and put the world to rights (with the help of alcohol) which took my mind of things and she has put a few things in perspective for me.
I have learnt a few things about my life on the 4 days away and that being my past shouldn’t be effecting my future so I should let the twats involved get on with their sucky lives and I should stay out of it. I am still earning money no matter if I work in a call centre or not and my dickhead old manager will end up in so much shit if he doesn’t pay me! I have an amazing support network so I know I won’t lose anything I have in my life 😊
I am home with a new perspective on things and that will be I can fight anything that comes my way even if it takes a little while to get sorted but I will win at the end of it.
Rhodes has already been booked for next year and it’s more people than just mum, me and Mr! Roll on June/July 2019! Our last holiday before Mr & I get married.
The following photo is where I spent the most of my time contemplating everything before I flew home. Who said sitting at the bar doesn’t help?
