May is #SAAM
May is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre has launched a survey for survivors of sexual violence across the four county region of Peterborough, Northumberland, City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton. This survey, as part of a Status of Women Canada needs assessment, asks all survivors of sexual violence to share their experiences of accessing community services in response to the violence they experienced or in the prevention of further sexual violence.
Sexual violence includes experiences such as, childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, rape, intimate partner sexual violence, sexual harassment, workplace sexual harassment, online sexual cyber bullying, and sex trafficking.
The survey provides opportunity for individuals to share with us the work that is needed in our community. The survey takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete and can be accessed through the link below.
