having said this , I also feel like it’s important to note that Harry Hart is the closest thing to a father Eggsy has. a father figure , definitely , but their relationship definitely ventures from mentor / mentee to father figure / son figure throughout the movies. and this doesn’t , in any way , erase the existence of Michelle or Lee ----------------- because Michelle as a mother has had her own influence on Eggsy , and so has Lee , tbh. but let’s be honest , Lee’s death at such a young age has meant that the physicality and presence of having a father is something Eggsy has been deprived of , for the majority of his childhood , teenage years , and adulthood. i’m not erasing Lee’s existence -- but like ... Lee legit wasn’t there kjsahfkajf
and ofc Lee’s absence has had an effect on Eggsy , in perhaps the same way Michelle’s presence has , but calling Harry a “ father figure ” doesn’t erase other influences ??? a kid can -- and frankly , should -- have many parental figures in their lives , different people that hold their own roles , and provide a support network that ensures the kid always , always , has someone to turn to.
Harry Hart is the closest thing to a father Eggsy has.
