Holden 50-2106 utility launched in 1951, three years after the 48-215 sedan. They didn’t look like this one when introduced. Or go like it. Original motor was a 138 cubic inch OHV “Grey motor” 6 cylinder. Grey motor refers to the colour of the block. Replaced by red, blue and black OHV L6 and V8 motors in later models. These first Holdens are also known as FX Holdens but this was not an official name unlike the facelifted FJ models.
