Dragging Curtis into a supply closet probably isn't one of Luke's smarter ideas, but they'll just have to deal with it; he'd asked Curtis to stay after practice, telling him he wanted to go over something they'd practiced for the penalty kill, waving off anyone else that offered to stay with a lazy smile and easy excuses.

Curtis had looked at him in amusement but hadn't said anything, dutifully staying until everyone else had left; now that Luke thinks about it, Curtis' back pressed against a shelf full of clean towels, they could have just stayed in the locker room - then again, the risk of a staff member walking in there wasn't zero and he really didn't want anyone else to see what he was planning on doing.

"Hey, Curtis. You spend time with Jacky recently?" he asks, pressing himself closer to his teammate. "Checked one more Hughes off your list?"

Curtis doesn't reply, just raises an eyebrow and smiles at him; the twinkle in his eyes lets Luke know that he in fact went through them in birth order, and he can't help but be a little annoyed at the fact.
