This is 40!! It wasn’t quite the celebration I had planned, I missed out on seeing a couple of my best friends but hopefully I’ll get a chance to see them this week. What I did get to do was spend it with a few close family & friends. I started my 40th weekend with a river swim. I was adamant that the forecast of thunder wasn’t going to stop me. Luckily it never came. And I managed to introduce the big girl to the delights of cold water swimming. I then finally got my nails done. I can’t tell you how much better I feel. It’s like I’m finally fully dressed! Followed by cake and a cuppa with my mum. Afternoon tea with my little group of friends. Then our first date night in months. Like me & @spencersarc.daddy out out! Sunday was spent by the water again and a kayak up and down the canal. Followed by a buffet with the in-laws. I have been spoilt rotten with gifts from family & friends. I feel very lucky that the restrictions have eased if not quite the back to normal we had hoped for by now! I feel like this weekend has really summed up 40 for me! Plenty of time on, in and by the water. Friends, family, gel nails and cake What more could I ask for!! Here’s to another kick ass decade. Let’s hope there is not as much kicking ass to be fine though.
