#40DaysofThankfulness
The weather today was wild. Leaving for University with shades on and soaking up the morning sunshine seemed a distant memory when greeted with a violent shower of sleet merely hours later. This day of extremities and shifts between wintery winds and spring skies made me consider the seasons and the elements, as creations of God. I am so thankful that God very often uses a gloriously sunny morning to remind me of his warmth, his light and radiance.
At the same time, shifts in weather remind me how powerful he really is. In the same way that he stirs up the elements and the seasons, he stirs up our hearts and our desires.
So, although I was not overly thankful for the onslaught of rather freezing sleet, I am most definitely thankful for the consequently profound appreciation for the sunshine that followed and for the reminder of this powerful, radical, creator God we have.

Today I am super thankful for two things: My two feet.
A day of glorious sunshine meant that I could truly enjoy walking the (albeit notoroiously long) Bathwick Hill which leads to our University. Although having two feet on which to walk seems really rather ordinary to most, today merits a shout out to God for giving me these two simple things that can so easily be taken for granted.

Having escaped home for a couple of days, I’ve been reminded of how incredibly blessed I am with the parents I have. Today I am thankful for my beautiful Mum and Dad, for their wise words and continual support.
