Dean Ambrose (c) VS The Undertaker {WWE Championship} | Devil's Snare | 4.21.13
The two men stood across the ring from each other while the referee raised the title high into the air. On one side of the ring Taker looked relaxed and prepared while on the other Dean seemed to still be a little out of it thanks to the previous title match heâd taken part in. Handing the title off to the ring announcer the ref moved back to the center of the ring and called for the bell. Instead of trash talk per usual from Dean he remained silent and the two men locked up in the center of the ring. Struggling for control Dean was able to grabs a side headlock off the lockup before running for the ropes and delivering a shoulderblock on the return. Taker stumbled but was quickly able to apply a headlock and shoulderblock of his own that sent Dean back on his ass much to the champions irritation. Scrambling to his feet Dean quickly left them again as Taker hit a short clothesline following that up with a leg drop across his chest. Taker looked for a quick pin but barely got a one count before Deanâs shoulder pushed off the canvas and the champion quickly rolled out of the ring. Wasting no time Taker went after him only to catch a hard right to the face as he exited the ring followed up by Dean grabbing a hold of Takerâs head and bending him down so that he could drive knee strike after knee strike into the taller manâs face before grabbing Taker by the arm and whipping him hard into the ringsteps. Dean moved forward and grabbed Taker looking to roll him inside the ring only for Taker to shove Dean away and surge forward once again clotheslining Dean to the ground. Bending down Taker picks Dean up and rolls him back into the ring, leaving him neck out on the apron exposed. Taker hits Dean with a boot to the side of the head before following up with his signature leg drop on the apron before rolling back into the ring. However when he went for the pin Dean once again kicked out much to Takerâs frustration. Slowly Dean starts to climb to his feet as Taker does the same and the duo begin to trade rights and lefts as well as kicks to the midsection. Following a spear from Dean the duo stumbled back into the corner where Dean continued to strike at Taker until Taker dropped down into the ring corner where Dean delivered a series of repeated stomps before bracing his foot across Takers neck and put all his weight into it to choke the older man. Pushing away from the corner Dean turned his back to Taker in order to finally verbally mock the crowd like he was known for smirking at their boos before turning his attention back to Taker who was making his way out of one corner only to be met with even more strikes from Dean. Dean lands solid punch after solid punch to Taker face who finally drops to the mat. The ref leaning down to check on him only for Taker to quickly wave him away befor he motioned for Dean to do his best. Sneering at the older man Dean waited for Taker to get to his feet again before moving forward only to catch Takerâs boot to his face, stumbling backwards he regained his footing and went to charge at Taker in the corner and again caught a book to the head only this time hard to the side of the head as he had in his previous match and the champ stumbled slightly. Taker took advantage of the moment and quickly moved from the corner before grabbing Dean by the neck and lifted him high into the air to chokeslam him and then dropped down to hook the leg. One Two Thre-No! Dean just managed to kick out. Standing to his feet Taker started to unload a series of kicks onto Deanâs back only for Deanâs hand to reach out and grab Takerâs foot after one of them and pull hard on it taking Taker right off his feet. Climbing on top of Taker he angrily drove punches into Takerâs face once again before climbing off of him and then stepped back so he could put some force behind it as he drove forward slamming his foot hard into the skull of Taker. For the first time all match Taker didnât bounce back right away instead rolling to his side a hand going to his temple. Seizing on the moment Dean used his foot to shove Taker face first to the mat before grabbing him by the arms and then pressing his foot between Takerâs shoulder blades and curb stomped him violently as he had to Eve not to long ago. The crowd visibly winced as Takerâs face made contact with the ring before starting to boo as Dean positioned Takerâs legs and then hooked an arm over his neck before wrenching back in the Regal Stretch. Being dead center in the middle of the ring Taker still dazed from the hard shots to the head seemingly had zero chance to tap but still refused to do so. Shaking his head back and forth every time the ref asked him. Dean however never broke the submission instead just pulled back trying to make it as painful as possible. While Taker continued to fight his movements had started to slow and the referee picked up his hand holding it up in the air before releasing it to drop back down. One.. As he grabbed Takerâs wrist a second time the crowd tried to get behind the legend cheering for him as loudly as they could. Two.. The crowd sensing how close to losing Taker was grew even louder, desperate to rally their beloved superstar to victory, desperate to see Dean lose both his titles in one night. Slowly the referee lifted Takerâs arm into the air a third time and a hush fell over the crowd as he released it The impact Takerâs hand made caused the crowd to suck in a disappointed breath before the boos started. Turning slightly the referee called for the bell before turning back to Dean and ordering him to break the hold. Smirking the champion did just that, in no mood for someone to restart the match or Alberto to get any stupid ideas like stripping him of his title for continued violence. Standing to his feet Dean snatched his title away from the referee when it was offered to him before raising it high into the hair enjoying the boos fot he crowd.

âSwaggerâŚa few questions?â
The camera showed Jack Swagger in the middle of push-ups backstage. He continued for a few seconds before stopping the movements completely.  His 6â6 height made him instantly tower over Striker once he was on his feet. âYeah?âÂ
âFirstly, welcome back. We got to see you in action on Thursday for the first time under this management. How are you adapting to the change here?â With his arms crossed Swagger shrugged, seeming to be thinking over the question. He let out a short laugh and answered, âHow am I adapting to the change? The change couldnât be any better. Besides Alberto being the âboss,â thereâs not much to adapt to. Better competition. Better in general.âÂ
âIs there bad history between-â
Swagger looked away from Striker as someone else approached. He smiled, putting his hand out to shake the manâs hand. Striker waited as the shorter man said something to Swagger, a private conversation ensuing between the two as he turned his back to the camera. The interviewer cleared his throat and moved closer, trying to get back the wrestlerâs attention. Â Swagger nodded after something was said, then looked back at Striker. Momentarily thrown off of his train of thought, he started to ask another question that he had planned.Â
âYouâve kept a fairly similar wrestling style but came back with a different entrance. Is there a reason behind your new theme?â
âThereâs a reason behind everything, Matt. The music that I have couldnât be any more American.  That song is a better fit than any other song that Iâve had.âÂ
As Striker prepared to ask another question he was cut off by Swaggerâs acquaintance. âIâd hate to interrupt your interview, especially since this is a man deserving of such. But youâll have to excuse us.â There was a hint of a southern drawl as he spoke. Swagger was the first to walk off, immediately picking up where they left off in the conversation earlier. They looked to be plotting something as they left, the camera view zooming out then fading away after.Â
Cody Rhodes VS CM Punk | Devil's Snare | 4.21.13
The audience in attendance at Devilâs Snare was all a buzz as the next match was scheduled to take place that night: Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk - in a steel cage, of course, given the pay-per-view stipulation.
Cody was the first participant out of the curtain and he was sporting his black leather coat, the material trailing behind him as he walked purposefully to the ring. âSmoke and Mirrorsâ blasted throughout the arena as Cody climbed into the cage, visibly pumped for his match against the returning straight edge superstar who had been out on leave for his knee injury. Both wrestlers had agreed that a fair win over one another was in order, given the last time they were in the squared circle Dean Ambrose had made his presence known. The younger male stripped of his ring jacket and handed it to the referee outside the metal-rimmed door and slowly backed into the cage, keeping his eyes focused on the entrance ramp at all times.
The Marietta nativeâs music faded out and there was a silence for a moment before a heavy guitar riff cut through the quietness, the audience realizing that Punk had changed his theme music. The beginning verse of Living Colourâs âCult of Personalityâ started to play as CM Punk walked out to the middle of the entrance ramp, sporting a very different look from the last time he had been in the ring. He had appeared on Thursday Night RAW here and there but only as the manager of The Pride - he was now debuting new gear. Punk was sporting his grey Gracie hoodie with a Britani Knight t-shirt underneath, hood up and basketball shorts nowhere in sight. He now donned black and red wrestling trunks, the covers of his boots matching with white and red stars up the front to represent his hometown. Punk kept his eyes on Cody as he walked down the ramp and he stopped momentarily at the door to flip off his hood, revealing an almost bald scalp. He peeled off his hoodie and tossed it on the ground near the steps, the camera panning to his Knight shirt momentarily before he too tugged it over his head and threw it into the crowd.Â
He stepped into the cage and turned to slam the door shut, the referee on the outside reaching for the lock to close it on the two superstars. Never once did Cody nor Punk take their eyes off of each other. They both knew that this match would be all about them. No interference, no outside help - just the two of them.Â
The referee inside with them called for the bell and the match began, the two rivals sizing each other up before Punk swung around his left leg to smack Codyâs thigh with a kick. And another. And another. He wanted to let Cody know that his knee was back in shape. Rhodes gave a tiny nod, a silent gesture to let Punk know that he knew he meant business⌠but so did he. The two wrestlers finally locked up in the center of the ring but Cody quickly broke the tie, catching Punk off guard by stepping back and charging him into the turn buckle.Â
The older man smirked and rubbed at the top of his head, nodding back to Cody to let him know that he realized he was keeping him on his toes. It was more than obvious that even though the two wrestlers couldnât stand one another, they did bring out a lot of good wrestling ability in each other.
It was known from Punkâs Ring of Honor days that he could work the mat - chain wrestling as it was sometimes called - and the two wrestlers grappled for a good five minutes with each other after setting back up in the middle of the ring. Rhodes made it known that he could dish out and take whatever Punk threw at him. Cody reversed almost everything that Punk threw his way - a long series of reversals and Punk tossed out a hip toss, a hammerlock, and a modified Irish whip that he turned into a clothesline before getting Cody down onto the mat before applying a head scissors. However, it was visible on Punkâs face that he was a little worn down from that battle and it seemed as though his knee was giving him a little bit of trouble. Cody countered Punkâs head scissors by flipping him over on his stomach and Punk went to stand up again only for his knee to wobble a bit.Â
Cody took advantage of that split second of pain on Punkâs end and kicked his knee hard, sending Punk back down to the mat again. The younger male reached for Punkâs knees to place him in a figure four leg lock which elicited âwoo!âs from the crowd and Punkâs face contorted in pain, Cody smirking as the ref made sure that Punk didnât want to tap out. Finally Punk was able to turn Cody over and get out of the leg lock but he was hurting and it was obvious now. Cody took advantage of this again and sprinted for the side of the cage, climbing up a decent ways before Punk sprung up and reached for his leg to pull him back down. Cody landed hard on his back and Punk reached in for a pin.
âOneââÂ
Cody kicked out vehemently. Punk immediately went for the Anaconda vice, wrapping his arms around and behind Codyâs neck from the previous pin attempt. Cody tried to arch his back against Punkâs downward hold on his neck but it didnât seem to be working. The referee made sure that Cody didnât want to tap. He maneuvered the two of them to the side away from the referee so that Punkâs back was to him and he raked his fingers across Punkâs eyes, unbeknownst to the official. Punk let go quickly and Cody crawled over to the other side of the mat, quickly standing up and delivering a massive drop kick after Punk had stood up again. This caused Punk to stumble backward into the cage and Cody took advantage, reaching for Punkâs arm to Irish whip him again into the chains, sending the straight edge superstar onto his knees. He landed awkwardly on his bad knee and Cody once again tried to escape but Punk somehow managed to try and pull him down again.
A series of near falls occurred and Punk set up for his Macho Man elbow drop, hitting it and going for a pin but Cody once again kicked out. Punk made it to the top of the cage two times before Cody tried applying the figure four again but Punk again wormed his way out of it. It was more than obvious that Cody had compromised Punkâs knee again, though. Rhodes again took advantage of Punkâs visible struggling and leaped for the ropes to try and climb out of the cage, the older male scrambling to try and pull him back down once more but this time Punk was not successful. Cody balanced himself onto the cageâs frame and hit a perfectly executed Beautiful Disaster onto the side of Punkâs shaven head, going for the pin once again.Â
The crowd stood in shock and a rumble emitted from the excitement from Codyâs kick as the ref countedâ
âOne, two, three!âÂ
The bell rang and Codyâs theme once again blared throughout the arena, a satisfied smirk of winning on his own merit on the younger manâs face as he looked down at Punk before the ref held up his arm in victory.
âAnd here is your winner⌠Cody Rhodes!â

The cameras switch to the backstage area where Alicia Fox is seen talking with one of the seamstresses while holding a piece of gold colored fabric. Cheers are heard through the arena as the redhead looks up with a smile. âOh this is really, really nice. This could potentially be part of some new gear, yea?â As she wraps the fabric loosely around her hips, Matt Striker steps into view with a microphone.
âGood evening, Alicia, and welcome back. Got time for a question or two?â
âSure! But first..â She does a 360 spin and points to the fabric still around her waist. âDo you think this color would be good for a skirt, or..?â
ââŚIâm not much of a fashion guy.â He replies, shaking his head confused. âBut anyw-â
âWell I didnât ask if you were a fashion guy. I mean obviously you arenât or else you wouldnât be wearing that tie-and by the way, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?â She steps into Mattâs personal space to get a closer look of his tie. Her face is scrunched in disgust, the more she observes it. âYour shirt is purple. Your tie is red and it has stars on itâŚstars! What is wrong with you-âŚyou know what? Youâre in a fashion timeout or something. Gimme your mic and go..to timeout. Iâm so serious.â
Matt goes to say something, but immediately refrains when Alicia points her index finger, gesturing for him to go. Before he goes, she takes off the offensive tie and tosses it somewhere. âYou can get this back when you fully process what youâve done!â She says loudly as she puts the mic down on the table. She goes back to talking to the seamstress about different fabrics as the cameras head back to ringside.
