From 1987 to 1996 Centurion Vehicles, Inc. of White Pigeon, Michigan started selling this 4-dr 9 passenger Centurion Classic 1000, a conversion based on a Ford F-350 crew cab. Ford wised up and in 1997 produced its own 9 passenger Expedition. Available 2- or 4-wheel drive with 460 cu. in. fuel-injected V-8 engine (7.5L). The other choice was 7.3 litre diesel engine (Navistar IDI or Power Stroke, depending on year). The A significant 12,500 lb. tow capacity on a one-ton chassis. This option was the purpose of using the F-350 chassis. F-150 chassis was also an option using less powerful V8 engines in the Centurion Classic 150SC 4x4.
