"Hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported by your video driver, driver needs updated. No driver for vga video card that works with windows 7" error
If you grab one of these errors "Hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported by your video driver, driver needs updated. No driver for vga video card that works with windows 7"
and you can no longer get Solitaire or other Microsoft games working such as spider, chess and etc, then there can be some series of problems:
1.) The most common is that you do not have either a graphic card installed, not the latest graphics card driver installed, etc. Solution: Get it fixed from the main supplier or manufacturer website on their support page.
2.) It is possible that you did not connect your Graphics card properly... just check under the hood and see if it is okay.
3.) This WAS MY PROBLEM! .... Direct X -11 32 bit (DxDiag.exe) diagnosed that my Windows 7 64 Bit OS WAS working with Direct X 3D on 32-bit but not on 64-bit (when checking on 64 bit diagnostics)...
I thought that my chipset driver was incorrect, that the Nvidia Driver was incorrect, my graphics card was not installed, that I needed a VIA Chrome 9 HC Family IGP VGA driver which all drove me MAD.
Alas, it was just Direct X -11's fault when I formatted from Windows Vista to 7; it inadvertently "untethered" itself from the 3D Acceleration. Solution: You need to fix the hotkey problem: Regedit on Run, fined on HT Local Services / C Drive / Users / Program Files / Common Files / Microsoft / Direct X / Software Config / then change the hexi number from "1" to "0." That should fix it.
