If you have a moment, where would self help books be? I thought it was in the 150s but patrons keep finding things in the 600s somewhere???

It all depends on what the books are helping yourself do. Some of them are filed under 616.8 for handling mental illness and/or neuroses, others under 332.024 for personal finance advice, or indeed the 150s for general psychology. Anywhere in the 100s (philosophy), 300s (social sciences), 600s (technology/medicine), or even 700s (art) would be a good bet.
