“hmmmm why does this kid remind me of someone so much…”

and then i saw it.

so I guess i’m taking inspiration from diriliş and cengiz’s look in that show ,  but basically ,  Thor has various sets of armour he can summon ,  magically ,  to change his look .   just like mjölnir has a connection to Ásgarðr ,  so do the various sets of materials that comprise Thor’s armour .

1.    and the ones sometimes visualised in the mcu ,  perhaps even in the comics ,  are primarly ceremonial .   they consist mainly of metal ,  shaped to his body in order to protect him as best as possible   ;   but there’s a dazzling element in there ,  too ,  that’s solely meant to impress ,  to imply royalty and status .   and of course ,  come with a flowing red cape   ------------------   red being Thor’s colour ,  the hue most associated with his character .   and it’s in this way Asgardian armour is truly superior   ;   the ceremonial armour is probably the heaviest of the three types ,  but even then ,  not unbearable ,  or uncomfortable in any way .  still serving as a value - add ,  Thor can go to battle in this ceremonial armour if he has no other option available to him .  example from concept art here .

2.     there are similar versions of these intended for lengthy battles across realms   ;   sometimes minus the cape ,  often with the addition of a helmet instead .    somewhat showy as well ,  in the sense that although it isn’t ceremonial ,  there’s definitely an aspect of letting the world know that this style ,  these colours ,  these shapes ,  are distinctly Asgardian   ---   and distinctly Thor .    this second suit makes appearances when Thor’s chasing Loki across Miðgarðr ,  or trying to restore order in Vanaheimr ,  for example .    it’s a sharper ,  stronger look that really enhances Thor’s strength ,  and of course protects him ,  without limiting him in any way .    example from concept art here .

is this like   . . .   Eggsy's perception of his own body  /   body image  ?   or the notion of body image in general   ?

to briefly answer both ,  Eggsy knows he's athletic and built and whatever ,  he's worked hard on keeping it that way ,  keeping up with exercising and whatnot before ,  during ,  and after his time at the Marines .   while he may joke about his body ,  self - deprecatingly or with a false sense of arrogance ,  he does think it's the  least  interesting thing about him   ---   and regardless of how he might physically change as he grows up ,  he's comfortable with his appearance .

and as far as body image goes ,  that same comfort he offers himself extends to others .   like ,  he's aware of the pressures of body image expectations in society and shuns tf out of them .   you do you   ---   again ,  there's more to be said by other facets of personality than what you look like ,  which is the least interesting thing about anyone .
