🖤 Day 19: Adar’s Spirit Animal 🖤
@Nekroticism and I have been working on a collab again for this one!
The Black Wolf suits Adar perfectly because, like him, it embodies a balance of fierce strength and deep loyalty. Wolves are pack animals, but the black wolf in particular is often seen as an outcast—different from the rest, walking between the shadows and the light. This reflects Adar’s own life: once part of his elven kin, now forever marked as other, yet still leading his own “pack” of Uruks with unwavering devotion.
Like the wolf, Adar is a protector. He will fight ferociously to safeguard his children, yet he also has a gentleness reserved for those he loves. The wolf is not needlessly aggressive—it acts with purpose, just as Adar does.
There’s also the symbolism of the wolf’s endurance and survival in harsh conditions. The black wolf thrives in darkness, and so does Adar: scarred, hunted, and twisted by time, yet still enduring, still leading.
The Black Wolf is a creature of legend, feared and admired in equal measure—much like Adar himself. 🖤🐺
And because it’s #fanficfriday, here’s our spin on Adar and his spirit animal
In shadowed glades where moonlight dies,
A black wolf moves with spectral guise.
His gaze—two flames of frozen blue—
Mask the torment he’s carried through
Unseen, he stalks where silence grows,
Through endless night the cold wind knows.
Adar walks with him, soul to soul,
Bound by secrets they never show.
A father, a beast, both cursed, both wild,
Guardian fierce of the lost, the defiled.
In the hush of darkness, their spirits entwine,
Two shadows eternal, no end, no time.
