#3B Recent Bible study thoughts:
In the beginning of Exodus 28, God instructs Moses on the clothes that will be needed for his brother Aaron and his sons to worship as priests.
It's interesting that a portion of the instructions include Moses being told to go to some of the locals who themselves have been instructed by God on how to precisely make the garments.
When God first asked Moses to speak for him, Moses thought he couldn't bc he spoke so poorly (I've read theories that he could have had a stutter or speech impediment, and God is known for selecting the imperfect, but regardless), but God intended to send him help - his charismatic brother Aaron.
When he asked him to lead everyone through the desert, Moses had never even been to where they were headed. God himself parted the Red Sea, allowing their passage, and closed it on the encroaching army, completing their escape.
When he had the ark and the tabernacle built, he gave Moses specific instructions on it's construction, measurements and materials. Surely he got others to help with the physical aspects, but God knew Moses could understand construction.
Afterwards, the garments - Moses apparently does not know how to sew (possibly already women's work at that time, unsure). No specific measurements are listed. God doesn't hold him to every difficult detail, letting him fail when he doesn't have a certain set of skills needed for God's plan.
Repeatedly, God sends help. Repeatedly, God sends his wisdom to others around us, and makes us a team. Repeatedly, God places us in situations we can only progress through with community. Our path ahead often seems daunting. God doesn't intend us to overcome every obstacle ahead on our own - he sends help.
