The gamin also has his own childish games and the fauna that he searches for in the cobbled streets of Paris because he would not be allowed in respectable gardens. He finds something of note everywhere even in the dreariest of corners of Paris, referring to his sense of curiosity and innocence which he does not lose. He still is very much a child with childish games despite living on the streets.
