Walmart.com, and it’s new deceiving advertising…
I just tried Walmart’s new shipping service which is advertising free two day shipping for qualifying items over $35. This is Walmart’s attempt to try to compete with Amazon – and I have to say, I’m thoroughly disappointed.
As an Amazon Prime customer I found the item I was looking for on Amazon but it showed that it would take 4-5 days to deliver, whereas the Walmart website said I would receive it on Friday, March 16th (within 2 business days), so I hit the button and ordered from Walmart against my instinct.
Fast forward today, March 16th.. When I woke up this morning, and checked the tracking on my item, it reports that I will receive my item on Tuesday, March 20th. How misleading is Walmart’s new two day shipping service? Very.
In the end, after contacting Walmart Customer Service, they offered me a 10% discount on my purchase price -- but the sad part is, they did not contact me to tell me my item would be late -- I had to contact them as I was upset with there misleading advertising about fast shipping.
