1. What is your favourite time of the year and why?
My favorite time of the year is definitely fall. How can you not fall in love with fall? It's beautiful with all the colors, it's cold but not freezing to death, the nights slowly get longer, it's time for endless cups of hot tea or coffee, scarves, boots, sweaters, layers, you get to bundle yourself up any way you want and get to call it fashion haha, the cinnamon sticks/brooms/whatever coming out and being placed all over the house, the stews and soups, lots of family birthdays and Thanksgiving, a whole day were I get to cook for everyone! :) The NHRA winter nationals end here, meaning I get to spend a whole weekend watching live drag racing and sleeping in a hotel. Holiday shopping and the start of Christmas baking, Christmas lights. And then friends coming home for winter break.Â
2. If you had one wish what would it be?
My one wish would be that there would be no societal expectations. Now a days everything is about getting your degree, finding a good paying job, etc. Everything revolves around money and in this messed up society it's extremely hard to get by even with a bachelors degree. The world needs to chill. Whatever happened to the day when you could be happy without all that? To the time when you just went out and DID something. If you really have a passion for something you shouldn't need a degree to prove that, if you're that passionate about something you'll find a way to get there with or without a degree. Societal pressure sucks.
3. Who would you want to switch lives with for a day?
Hmmm I've never really had an envy for other people. Yeah sure sometimes I wish I wouldn't have to deal with my life, but it has brought me to where I am today. So if I could switch lives with somebody else it would be my future self to see if I'm happy and got out of the rut I'm in.
4. What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever said?
Well then! Haha I'm sure there's plenty. I just tend to forget about them. They're in a corner of my mind that I don't want to access right now haha.
5. Do you have a strange/different hobbies that you keep hidden from people who know you, if so what?
If I do then it won't be hidden anymore since most of my friends follow me on here haha. Let's see... they pretty much know every strangeness of me. I like to write, which I don't share too often. Hence why I have a pen name: Emilia Brooks. If I share something with you, you're special!
6. What was the last dream you had about?
Now you're asking for a story! I was kidnapped on a highway that just got destroyed by an earthquake. I'm sent into this deserted street on the edge of a forest/mountain/cliff thingy and it's kind of like in the hunger games. I"m always being watched somehow even though nobody's there but myself. I'm looking for glitches and unprotected areas for me to escape and then I see my older sister. She told me she wanted to hang out with me (if you know me you know that I can only take so much of my sister at a time) and I find this really odd because how did she get here, why is she here? So I follow her to this lake/small waterfall area and an old friend of hers shows up and I sneak away while she's distracted. Anyway I find a way out and I get home to find my sister waiting on me and she's really pissed that I escaped... It was really creepy.
7. Do you plan for the future or focus on enjoying the present?
I have to admit I'm always coming up with different scenarios for the future. My mind is always thinking up new awesome plans  that I want my future to be, or paths to getting there. I'm working on enjoying the present. I just can't wait to be on my own and having my own life. I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning. One eye open waiting for the future to come.
8. If you could have superpowers for a year, what powers would you have?
I would have powers to control the weather. Imagine the power you'd have just with that? It would be awesome!Â
9. What is your biggest fear?
I have a few! But my two major ones are never braking my dad's chain, that he will always have some control over my life. And that I'll never find that one person and get married. The second one, I guess it's not that bad, sometimes I say to myself that I don't want to get married and have children, that I would be better on my own anyway and I could be the cool aunt. Always doing fun things with my nieces and nephews. But who am I kidding. I want to be that awesome wife and mom and business women all in one one day.
10. What is your favourite book and why?
You're just giving me one? Just one favorite book? I can't do that. Haha I'll narrow it down a bit for you though.Â
Genesis by Bernard Beckett: It's a short dystopian novel but it raises the question of what is real and what is life. You should check it out, it's a short read, only ~ 150pg.
The Unforgiving Minuteby Craig M. Mullaney: It's a solider's story and it draws to me because I grew up with the military and always wanted to be a part of that.
A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin: What is there to say, it's A Game of Thrones! What isn't there to love?Â
The Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine: The protagonist is an independent kick ass female who you can't help but love. As the title says it's about the weather and the way it's described in this series is very powerful and vivid. You won't look at the weather the same again after reading this.
The MacKayla Lane series by Karen Marie Moning: Once again another kick ass female protagonist. The personal growth she goes throughout the series is what truly gets me every time I read it. She just get's better and better with every book. And then there's Barrons who is drooling worthy haha
I think I should end here with the books haha.
