Jakarta, Indonesia.
It was a normal morning actually. I woke up in the hotel room with an already big smile plastered all over my face. After the long wait, finally me and my friend, Hasna were going to attend Super Show 4 in Indonesia. Our faces were brighter than the sun and we couldn't contain our excitement in our heart anymore.
It was actually my second experience coming to a Super Show. I went to the 3rd Super Show in Singapore, with my friends, (please refer the past post about SS3 Singapore, I was going to link you to it but... I can't seem to find it, sorry :/ /getsbricked) but weirdly, I still felt that tingling feeling where you're going to meet your idol for the first time. Other than that, it was the first time ever Super Show has been held in Indonesia, I was sort of nervous of their reaction towards the crowd here.
So, short story we finally arrived at the venue. It was held at the Mata Elang International Stadium (honestly, I have never been there). It was pretty cool actually, being the venue was close to the beach and all, it was pretty hot, but beautiful (Jakarta has a reputation of having a very humid, sticky air, very uncomfortable I tell you). We waited for about, 6 hours until we can get into the venue. What amazed me was actually there were actually people who already waited from early in the morning. I didn't even know if they got enough sleep, if they ate at all, it was pretty worrying. But it showed how much they loved their boys :)
When they started to open the gates, all ELFs got excited. Finally the queue started moving.
Before the concert even happened, they already told us to not bring a camera. But being the know-it-all person I am, I thought it would be okay since my camera got into the venue back in Singapore. So I brought it in my bag, hiding it inside my raincoat (lol don't ask me why would I bring a raincoat)
It turned out my hiding skills weren't good enough -_- My camera got caught and I had to run to a place where we put our cameras and get it back once the show's done. I was a lil bit pissed, but then again it is my fault ^^" So I put my camera and ran as fast as I could to the queue, and got in.
Once we got in the venue... The nervous atmosphere thickens. I can still remember how much I wanted to scream that time. We got the terrace tickets :D But I guess the terrace in that venue was pretty different than other venues because it was in the second floor... But it was okay though, we can still see the boys really clear. I'll get to that one later :)
We waited for about half an hour before the lights were out. The screaming were enchanting, everyone lit up their lightsticks, including me! (I have finally bought a lightstick! Hahaha I feel proud :'D) Then the VCR started to play. God, the goosebumps I got. I looked to my side and my friend was like "askdjaksdjaldjskl hold me!!!" I was going to calm her down but I was feeling the same thing.
They finally appeared. The words "handsome" "gorgeous" "perfect" could not even picture them in total when you see them in real life. I wanted to share pictures with you but as I said, no camera :(
Overall I enjoyed all the performances in Super Show 4 :) Including EXO M's!! Nope, there were no black ocean ;) Actually there were a few people cheering and chanting for them, it was beautiful <3 Since me and my friend were unprepared, we just screamed "Kris!" throughout their whole performance lol :)))
The solos were amazing! I have to give a shout out to Shindong for his solo! He used an Indonesian song and danced to it. I feel very flattered at how much effort he put into that performance, thank you, we enjoyed it a lot :D Too bad Siwon didn't have his solo :( I don't know what's the reason for Siwon to not perform his solo, I just hope that it's nothing unfortunate :)
Best moment has got to be Our Love (who doesn't love this part? <3). We held out banners and heard them sing. When they looked at their VCR, at how long they had gone on their journey, it touched me :'''') I couldn't hold back my tears. When ELFs were asked to sing a long, it was very beautiful.. Oh I still get goosebumps remembering it! Hahaha :) But then after that they performed Sound of Super Junior and I couldn't hold back my laughter. I hate you guys for making me emotionally unstable <333
Also... I remembered that day Siwon flashed us his abs three times. I, as a Siwon stan, couldn't hold my screams and shouts lol. The first time was when Walkin. They had a sound system breakdown /facepalm. At first I thought they had a blackout (dumb explanation, I know), but then when I saw the stage, the lights were still on. My other thought was they did it on purpose. But the look on the boys faces clearly told that it wasn't something they planned on doing. They started doing improvisations, walking around the stage, joked around, before finally the sound system worked again. And as they performed again, when it was Siwon's turn, he *innocently* pulled his black wifebeater and showed us his sculpted abs. It was almost as if he's saying "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. As an apology, let me show you my abs" ._.
The second time was at the time it was the performance of Sorry, Sorry. Since it was in the choreography so it's okay, I forgive him :))) But still, by the time they appeared with suits, and I saw one guy wearing a suit without anything underneath it, I knew something was going to happen :))
The last time was at the ending. I don't know either Siwon was out of his luck that day or it was just my lucky day hahahaha. At the end, as a sign of gratitude, Leeteuk wanted one member to do the water splash. In the end they did rock, paper, scissors to decide it, and apparently Mr. Choi Siwon lost. So he casually walked towards the middle stage, lifting his shirt. The crowds went wild, no one could control it anymore. I'm pretty sure the securities gave up :)) He then did the water splash, and ran back to the stage, towelling himself, and did some little body waves. Curse you, Choi Siwon :)))
Super Show 4 then ended. We lingered around the venue for a while before finally getting back to the hotel, not sleeping right after because we discussed some stuff lol. By the time we woke up, our face was disheveled, our voice was out, it was just terrible :)) But the memory of the night before made us smile nonetheless :)
I just want to say thank you to the promotor for making this happen! You don't know how many dreams have come true because of you :) Also, thank you for all the ELFs that attended the three days concert. Without your love, Super Junior won't come here :)
Just one thing, for all the ELFs out there. If you ever have the chance to experience Super Show, even just once, I suggest you go for it. The experience you get to be in the middle of Sapphire Blue Ocean, chanting the guys' name, it's indescribable :)
