im thinking courferre like no ones business and no one expects combeferre to drive the fucking motorcycle— and when she says she does and ppl express surprise she rolls her eyes and says “i have a half sleeve tattoo and six piercings up my ears, i appreciate you not trying to judge a book by its cover but honestly.”

i accidentally hc’d for my stupid verse but that’s okay, all mod!au combeferres probably ride a motorcycle. i think it’s a universal constant maybe.

By the time the heat got to a point where she was burning up by still wearing her hoodie, she’d forgotten all about her fear, and stood up to shrug the hoodie off. “Why is the fire so high?” she asked. “It’s the middle of July, for Pete’s sake. Let it die a little bit.”

She gave pause when she realized that every eye in the cafe was on her, except for Jehan, who was sucking on the end of xyr pen trying to come up with a second stanza.

“What?” Grantaire asked, before she looked down at the scratchy line tattoos that criss-crossed both shoulders, the map of Paris on her right shoulder, and the field of stars on her left shoulder that went down to her elbow. “Oh,” she said, remembered her earlier conversation with Jehan, and shifted uncomfortably.

inspired by a friend's graduation party. for some reason, i couldn't get courfeyrac almost doing a backflip down a waterslide out of my head.

“I want to get a tattoo,” Enjolras said. Combeferre, who was taking a deep drink, choked on it.

“A what,” Combeferre said, when she could talk again.

“A tattoo. Well, another one.”

“Another-?” Combeferre stared at her drink and then at her friend. “There is- What have I been drinking? This is too weird to be reality.”
