...and every so often I get this feeling, this rush of sadness. It takes over like a grey sky on a sunny day, out of the blue yet somehow expected. I feel like its reminding me of everything I've ever tried to forget all at once, until every single painful memory is coursing through my veins demanding to be felt. I sit there, defeated, longing for the days where I don't have to lie to myself just to get through the night. Where I can be happy for others and not be reminded of my own heartache. I want to escape from my thoughts and find peace and a place I can call home.
