I'm gonna miss screenshotting Osanai more than anything else about this series. Was actually thinking a 4 or maybe even a 5 for score but this last episode annoyed me enough to drop it down to a 3. Our grand twist is the girl was car victim's sister and their family was in shambles and apparently each parent got a separate child in the fucking custody hearings and forbade them from seeing each other? I don't think that's how fucking custody laws work uh, anywhere? And because Kobato's investigations brought the fact that a brother and a sister were meeting up to light, car crash victim's family was completely destroyed and his reputation as well and he tried to kill himself. And when faced with a dangerous murderer attempting to kill Kobato car crash victim simply. God this part pisses me off insane actually. The siblings are adults! With jobs! And they apparently don't just decide to go see each other at any point! This fucking hospital meetup "WAIT DON'T KILL THEM" shit from the brother is the first time they've seen each other in years! We're not mad that Kobato broke up the family we're mad that because of him the siblings can't see each other but they literally can! Also sorry so the brother changed his name, and the sister didn't? But also the dad was the one chatting to Kobato? And Kobato said the dad was the actual driver from the car crash but he was literally just lying to us? Like when he said Osanai was starting to the fires and we'll catch her tonight directly to the audience but was also just lying! There's red herrings and misdirects and there's just a character intentionally presenting false information to the camera for no other reason than fuck you! It's not even supposed to be like an unreliable narrator style mystery series or anything they literally just did that because they had a twist they wanted to meet but the characters were privvy to something we weren't or whatever! I just hated this man. Like I didn't, clearly. It was always the first thing I'd watch if I had multiple seasonal episodes to catch up on and as I said before it's presented so well that I'm typically engaged anyway, but also god I hated this. I'm gonna miss this show but god I hated it.
we almost done
