38 POUNDS OF FAT! (2024 Resolution) It Is Still A Win! I Stayed at 260 for 3 Months! #newyear #2024 My 2024 Resolution was to get down to 250 or lower from 300/almost 300 when I weighed myself for my goal. Lost 38 pounds in 2024, through diet, portion control, and working out. It is still a win because From September 26th, 2024 to December 30t,h 2024 I maintained my weight at 260 pounds. (Even though I ATE SO MUCH FOOD AND JUNK from Halloween all the way to the end of December!) So it is a win, to be honest.

10/10 loved all the songs and dancing and the story itself was insanely good. Didn't realize how much I was missing movie musicals that lean into the musical aspect instead of just being a movie with singing until I was watching this. I'm in love with Shug Avery as well, fucking loved her. The costume designs were amazing as well!
Amy (2015)
10/10 knew nothing about Amy winehouse prior to this and this was a great way to learn about her. It was composed entirely of archival footage and audio clips and imo highlighted how paparazzi and management can fail singers.
Priscilla
9/10 pretty good honestly, had me googling "how old were Priscilla and elvis when they met?" (14 and 24 respectively), "how old were Priscilla and elvis when they got married?" (21 and 32), "how tall were Priscilla and elvis?" (5'4 and 6'), how tall the actors in the film were (5'1 and 6'5), and "when was elvis's first child born?" (1968). If you've seen the ever popular Elvis movie be prepared to see a different version of him in this. While things might be dramatized it does sound like Priscilla was involved with making this movie.
Trolls Band Together
10/10 I've never seen a trolls movie and I did love this one, I would die for both poppy and velvet. The singing was pretty good and I did enjoy the numerous boy band jokes and puns that were made.
Twister
8/10 I'm not typically a fan of disaster movies but I did enjoy this one, it looses points for Bill being a piece of shit. I was rooting for Melissa though fucking loved her. Learned a lot about tornadoes because my friend was infodumping during the movie that part was 10/10
Chicken Soup for the College Soul (1999) by a variety of authors

This is one I randomly found one day and decided to keep, finally got around to reading it and it's good. A collection of short stories related to college, some made me laugh, some made me cry. Some stuff is outdated because it is from 1999, but the core of the stories is still applicable. They have made other Chicken Soup books and I can't speak to their quality but based on this one I'd say they're probably worth a read

The Little Mermaid (2023)

Honestly not bad, the changes they made for the most part made sense, I'm a little upset that the prince seemingly bought the hat the hat guy was wearing, like dude that's his hat wtf. I like how he learned her name, that was a cute scene imo, and I love them going sailing together at the end. I like the prince getting a song I just wish it was less autotuned (either let his voice shine or cast someone who can sing pleasssse)
Overall my verdict is people massively freaking out over the movie are overreacting and I don't care why they're freaking out. It's not doing anything too different from the original and it's still a good movie, you don't have to enjoy it but imo it's pretty much the same to watch as the animated
Cinderella In The Caribbean
6/10 and I'm being a little generous
I'm a sucker for a hallmarkesque romcom and I'm a sucker for cinderella adaptations so of course I watched this. The plot and acting wasn't as bad as a free movie of this genre can tend to be and it was one of the few that made some sense plot wise. Only part I can't get past is stepsister actively flirting with her soon to be step brother😬
Like that plot point was weird and the fact that the cinderella character and the prince characters only met because his dad and her step mom were engaged, I swear these movies will sometimes find the weirdest ways to get the love interests to meet.
Not bad if you like bad rom coms tbh

When my friend told me this was a movie about Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Davido having a baby I thought it would be a quirky hijinks issue when they discover an abandoned baby type film.
Yeah no Danny literally gets Arnold pregnant, it was both kinda weird but also unexpectedly wholesome at the end? Over very good it was insanely funny and Arnold looks good in drag
