 I think every female discussed on this blog is incredibly talented and has given a lot to their fans. Their lyrics, passion, voices and dedication have given a lot of people hope, inspiration and helped others through different times. For every person that source of inspiration is different - for me it’s Alissa, for others it’s Tarja or Angela, or Simone or Vicky or Lena, etc but I think we should appreciate the contribution all these amazing ladies have made to our lives and appreciate their talent and maybe not be too harsh on any of them. At the end of the day they are people and people are flawed. We shouldn’t put them - or anyone else for that matter - on pedestals and expect them never to mess up, or never say or do something not exactly right in our eyes. Every lady here is fantastic but none of them are ‘queens’ or 'godesses’. Treating them as such is most unfair to them because it precludes the possibility of them making mistakes, thus horrible and often unfair criticism follow in the wake of rumours, speculation, a show where they couldn’t do their best or a song we might not like. Metal ladies rule but aren’t perfect and should never expected to be.

Bond wants nothing more than for someone, just once, to be waiting for him at the airport when he returns home.
