HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! May the upcoming year not surpass it by being an absolute shitshow. woooooooo, holy shit okay. 1. Started off the year far stronger than I remember having started it. I think what I'm happiest about is that while I see blaring mistakes in some of these, they don't bother me as they would normally, because I still really like those pieces. And me being able to see those mistakes in the first place means that I've improved a shit ton over the year, which I know for a fact I did. 2. I'm actually kinda relieved to see that I was right about feeling as if I hit a slump from September to maybe early November, because I thought I was just beating myself up for nothing. October was basically the pits throughout. But no, as I was looking over what I was working on those months, there were a LOT of unfinished pieces and sketches that looked like I really wasn't in a good mindset. And it had the unfortunate timing of being when I started off this art blog, but okay whatever, I can finally make peace with that. 3. Over all, I'm really happy with how this year went art wise and looking back at it all really helped me notice that I wasn't stagnating. If anything this year was a year I improved in leaps and I was just being a little bitch baby for the majority of it. Between still figuring out Clip and still practicing and reaching out for bigger projects, I feel really good about this upcoming year and the progress I'm yet to make.
