And so it ends. 5 miles today put me right at 2,015 miles on the year. Can I count that as part of the @theholidayhustle 5k? I will definitely log some more miles before the end of the year, but I'm going to enjoy taking a few days off!

Annual trip to the apple orchard today. The air was crisp but the sun was warm. It was absolutely perfect. Fall is the best season. No contest. Little Mister decided that our tradition of taking a picture in the big chair is overrated. I guess we captured his true spirit. Is two almost over yet? I don't really consider myself a baker, but damn that pie turned out good. I'm especially proud of the crust. Flaky and crisp. Yum yum. On a different note: I ran 158 miles in September. Pretty good considering we were on vacation for a good chunk of the month. That puts me at 1,568 of 2,015 miles on the year.

So I don't think I've talked about this at all on Tumblr?? But this year I'm doing a year long fundraising campaign for Mental Health Research UK. Every month, I'm taking up a different challenge, such as not eating chocolate or going without social media. I'm also doing a year long dryathlon, wearing a unicorn onesie on the first day of every month & holding a number of events. I'm asking people to support my efforts & sponsor me; all the money goes straight to Mental Health Research UK, to help research the causes/treatments of mental health. My aim is to raise £2015 within the year; it's a pretty ambitious aim, but one I'm determined to fulfill!! I've experienced mental illness both first hand and through caring for my mum, as well as being very close to many other people affected by it. At the moment, there are still many unknowns in this area. With more research, we could be a lot lot closer to finding better treatments, to gaining a better idea of the how/why/what questions, and we could even be on our way to curing mental illness. That's been my dream since I was long enough to know that Mummy crying was something that scared me. Then, I knew I would do anything in my power to make her happy. Now, I carry that 5 year old's ambition inside my heart every single day. If you'd like to know more, check out www.2015in2015.blogspot.com :) If you'd like to sponsor me & donate to MHRUK, either go to www.justgiving.com/2015in2015 or text BEKS97 followed by an amount (eg, £2, just make sure you put the '£' symbol in there!) to 70070. If you do, you will genuinely have my undying gratitude. This means such a lot to me. Even if you can't sponsor me, it would mean a huge deal if you could reblog this & spread the word. Thank you so so much & have a beautiful day!! Xxx
