Did I get the “all TMNT yumes/oc x canon artists are sweats at drawing” curse yet

I'd always had a bit of a crush on Donnie, I loved his cute little tangents he went on about science. I found it hard not to stare when he did that. I'm pretty sure the other turtles knew about my crush considering they’d give me cheeky thumbs up when I was with Donatello. Sadly Donnie was a bit of a dunce when it came to any hint i even attempted to drop that i liked him

One night I decided to stay over with the turtles, although u mostly hung around Donnie while he worked in the lab “ see [name]! I told you that wouldn't take that long!” Donnie got up from under the shell raiser. Apparently there was something wrong with the exhaust. I handed him the rag i was holding “yeah! I was expecting that to take a lot longer!” he wipes off his face and sits at his desk and I lean on it, relaxing for a bit before Mikey yells “[NAME]! DONNIE! IT'S MOVIE TIME!!!!” as he peaks into the room, a bowl of popcorn in his hand “okay we’re coming Mikey” i say looking over at the orange masked turtle, Mikey gives me a smile before disappearing from the doorway.

“Okay Donnie! Let's go watch that movie!” I get up off the desk and turn to him, “alright” as he stands up I notice he still has some stuff on his forehead “wait a sec actually” I walk around the desk and stare at his forehead. “W-what are you staring for” “you have some stuff on your forehead” i try to wipe it off with my thumb but it doesn't come off, so i lick the end of my thumb and try wiping again it actually comes off this time “i got it! Okay now we can go” i brush past him and go into the main room. After a minute i realize how close i was to him and blush a bit, 

Donnie comes out of the lab a minute later and sits for the movie, everyone is watching the movie but i can't help absentmindedly looking over at Donnie, He looks so focused on the movie, i hear Mikey giggling then he nudges me, i look over at him and he's grinning wide an wiggling his eyebrows.. I deadpanned at him and went back to watching the movie, finding myself looking back at Donnie. He was always so adorable when he was focused...

It seemed as soon as the movie started it ended, Leo, raph, and Mikey were all passed out. I look over at Donnie who's still awake “hey pst! Don!” I whisper-yell at him, trying to get his attention. He looks over at me confused “let's go back to the lab while the others are asleep” he nods and we head back into the lab to hang out. 

I can't help but want to tell him how much i like him, but i'm afraid he's gonna say he still likes April, or he's not into men “hey Donnie..?” “hm?” he looks over at me “how do i ask someone out?” “what?” he looks slightly confused “why would you ask me that? I've never asked anyone out before!” I glanced away from him for a moment before looking back “I'm asking you because I can't really ask anyone else! Plus I trust your opinion” he sighs “well what are they like?” I smile “oh they're so smart and cute! I love just being around them. They have a habit of gushing about their interests if anyone seems interested, although I think they're a bit of a dunce when it comes to love” looks like he's thinking, “then be blunt! If their really to dense to realize then just tell them” I stare at him for a moment thinking about just blurting it out right there, but instead I get closer to him and put my hands in his “Donnie, I like you” he stares at me for a second “see do it just like that [name]!” I dont think ive known someone this dumb yet so smart, I get closer “no don you dont get it, I like you” 

He goes silent for a moment “a-are you serious?” I can see a light blush across his face “why would I say it if I didn't mean it?” he just stares at me “if you don't like m-” “no i do like you [name] i-i just wasn't thinking you'd ever actually like me” i stared for a moment at the turtle, looking into his red eyes “why wouldn't i like you?” “What about me is to like?” I look at him confused at the question “Donnie, what isn't to like about you? You're smart, sweet, always willing to help, you make this cute face when you're focused. Don i like you because you're just so perfect in my eyes” it takes me a few seconds before i realize i just gushed about the guy straight to his face “you really think about me like that?” I cup his face in my hands and smile “yes I do.. I've been trying to tell you for months” he looks shocked “m-months!?” “You may be a smart guy but you're kinda an idiot when it comes to picking up the very obvious hints I've been dropping” I give him a light kiss on his cheek “so… what's next?” “We started dating… I mean if you're okay with that!” I can't help but smile at him “of course don, I'd love to date you” he gets a dopey grin on his face and I lean in to kiss him on the lips when the lab door bangs open. “Donnie did [name] leave without saying anyt-” Mikey looks at me and Donnie up and down before slamming the door “I FOUND [NAME]! DONNIES KISSING HIM!!” I let go of Donnie's face and watched him storm out of the room “Mikey! What have I told you about just coming into my lab!”
