Started off as an obnoxious asshole who was constantly almost getting kicked out of the Navy. Had a glorious redemption arc and grew into a genuinely great guy. Final episode ever has an epilogue. One line for 2 Dads: ""he goes AWOL."" They took his redemption arc and fully shat on it, putting him right back to the original version of himself and erasing three seasons of character growth.
