I also can't help but think of how sonic would change. I don't think he would stay the same after this. he just lost tails. his buddy. of all people. his younger brother. and he probably feels like it's all his fault. (can somewhat relate.) I don't think y'all just realize how hard his would hit him.

he'd probably become so overprotective over those he came to love afterwards. but would he even dare to get too close to anyone, after getting close to tails, only to lose him?

I imagine him getting out every night and just observing the sky and seeing him. feeling him. he's there, somewhere. he's gotta be.

sonic is usually cheerful. I notice than when he's upset, he usually smiles, or distracts himself. thinks about and focuses on whatever mission he's on, just so he doesn't have to thinks about whatever he's struggling with at the moment.

Sonic would change s lot I think. Would probably become much more reserved ...

I don't think it could ever be the same case with tails. y'all losing your little sibling is not easy. especially if you feel guilty for it. they're supposed to be the unbreakable bond. they were each other's first friends ever. to separate them... it is beyond tragic..
