Kitty Hawke (Now in Glorious Technicolour) by missoliviahicks, drawn in the style of Kitty Hawke artist Ray Bailey.
Kitty Hawke (and her All Girl Air Crew) was the original cover star of early British girls comic Girl (1951), the sister comic to Eagle. She and her plucky crew graced the cover from November, 1951, to March 1952, when they left the comic and were replaced with Wendy and Jinx, a somewhat more conservative school japes narrative. At the time Marcus Morris (editor) explained the change to readers thus: Here we are with you two days earlier this week - and bringing you something new and exciting as well - which you have asked for. I hope you will like the thrilling new school story on the front page of this issue. Very many of you have let us know that you like school stories and have asked for more - so here is one for you! (26 March, 1952) Wendy and Jinx is nowhere near as exciting as Kitty Hawke, just FYI
