19478 It’s kind of annoying how some people call Ashley Costello and Chris Motionless “Emo” in a angry/hateful-like manner. I know this confession looks like I’m over reacting and all, but I just needed to get this off of my chest. Just because they “look Emo” doesn’t mean that they are. I even pointed out on confession #19169 that Chris Motionless and Ash pointed out that they’re part of the Goth Subculture by giving out hints. Now I know some elitist goths are going to say,”OMG THEY’RE NOT GOTH! NEW YEARS DAY PLAYS ALTERNATIVE ROCK/METAL MUSIC AND MOTIONLESS IN WHITE PLAYS METALCORE MUSIC! THEIR MUSIC ISN’T GOTH!” and blah, blah, blah.Yeah, well, they do have some songs that are Gothic Metal or albums that are labeled as Gothic Metal along with their usual music genres. No joke, No lie.

19169 It’s funny how Elitist Goths attack me for liking bands like Motionless In White and New Years Day, just because their music isn’t Goth Rock. Yeah, okay, I do listen to bands that are Goth Rock, Post-Punk, Gothic Metal, Deathrock, Darkwave and New Wave; but I also listen to bands that are Symphonic Metal, Alternative Rock/Metal, Pagan Rock, Celtic, Nu Metal, and Neoclassical Metal. Heck, I even listen to Disney songs, Opera and Broadway musicals! So just because I listen to New Years Day and MIW doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to be Goth. Heck, Ashley Costello gives out hints that she’s Goth (not just by look but by some other things). Same with Chris Motionless. Plus, both of their songs are freaking cool! So to Elitist Goths, if you don’t like New Years Day and MIW, that’s fine, but don’t just attack other Goths for liking other music genres besides Goth Rock/Post-Punk/etc. It’s getting really old.
