It sucks that the video game industry is such that new games take way longer to come out than they did before and the observation that industry figures have made that it's harder to create new fans among younger generations as a result of there being more time between franchise entries is very much correct, but if we are to take that as "just the way it is" then. I don't really get why so many Sonic fans are so bothered that nothing's happened for the 35th anniversary yet in particular lol. It's this bizarre thing where five, ten years ago when the output was a lot more hit and miss, people were a lot quicker to say "hey sega take your time and don't rush these out" or whatever, but now that we've actually just been getting good games after good games suddenly the impatience is back. If they don't reveal Frontiers 2 by June 23rd the series is washed or whatever. I am truly on train let them cook. We agreed anniversaries aren't actually important anyway and rushing games to meet anniversary deadlines has shot the franchise in the foot before but suddenly they need to do it again because ???. I'm just generalising based on twitter comments tbf but still. It's okay guys I too miss being young and there being a new exciting Sonic thing every year or two but we're all adults now we can wait a little bit, yeah?

I've not used regular youtube in genuinely years I've always had extensions like fuck on PC or revanced or similar on android and that's still true but also I got added to a yt premium family plan and some of the features are so fucking weird. There was an intrusive as fuck "JUMP AHEAD" button on a video I was watching and it didn't specify to where or when and it didn't pay any mind to the video chapters or get me past a sponsor segment or anything so I truly have no idea what the fuck it was for
