In the waiting...
"In the eleventh year in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in all its details according to its specifications. He had spent seven years building it." 1 Kings 6:38 NIV
Are you waiting for something to be built? Are you waiting for something magnificent to see? Are you waiting for God's plan to unfold before your eyes? For the Israelites, it took them 40years to reach the promised land. For Solomon, it took him seven years to build the house of God.
Waiting requires endurance and a whole lot of faith & patience. Right now, I'm in the process of waiting...for a call, for an interview, for something I can call a job. And what stresses me here is that there is a due date - 30days from the day I came here in Singapore. But what calms my soul is the fact that God has got my back.
You see, people can always be easily distracted by time, however, if we start to think that the Lord our God and Father is the master and creator of time, what else would you be afraid of. Make your heart rest in the calmness and peace within the presence of God. In your waiting, remember that God makes sure everything in His plan is fulfilled according on how He designed it. God is in the waiting, seek Him there.
