BJP finding possibility of simultaneous polls in 11 states in 2019.
The BJP favored holding simultaneous polls by arguing that the election expenditure cannot curb and the person can not always in the electoral mode. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has openly supported this idea. There are constitutional problems in front of the Modi government and the Election Commission in the process of bringing simultaneous polls under 'one country one election'. But BJP sources considered the assembly of a dozen states with Lok Sabha in 2019. The country can present a great example towards one nation one election. According to BJP sources, there will not be any need to make major changes in any constitutional amendment or election rules. About 'one country one election' today, Law Commission chairman BS Chauhan met the delegates of both the major National Parties of the country.Β And invited one country to know his party opinion on simultaneous polls. Earlier this month many regional parties called to know the opinion of 'one country one election'. According to sources, since the Election Commission and most political parties agree on the formula simultaneous polls. But after the consent of all the parties, the constitution will have to amend. For this, you may have to wait until the next winter session of Parliament. For this, the BJP is working on a formula that according to the Lok Sabha elections, the assembly elections of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana are going on. Some other BJP-ruled states can also include in it. After the Lok Sabha elections, the assembly elections of Haryana, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand will be held in October 2019. There are BJP governments in these states and BJP can make the first election there. There is a governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir and there is not much problem in getting elections next year. Before the Lok Sabha elections of the year 2019, the four states in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Mizoram are to held in October and November this year. Some of them have the tenure of the Assembly's term till February 2019. In these four states, President's rule can impose for two to three months. The Election Commission has already said that the Commission is ready to take the Lok Sabha and assembly elections together. The BJP has started exploring the possibility of getting 11 states' assembly elections together with the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. If everything is okay, Bihar could also include as the 12th state in the list of these 11 states. Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's party has already given its consent to the formula for 'one country one election'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will have to take a big risk. If they want to bring their three governed states ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Due to a small mistake in this risk BJP may have to take a big loss.
