On Sunday 26th at 4:45pm, a young child, the age of two, was kidnapped by their father. The father is a Polish immigrant and was not permitted contact with the child or mother anymore due to past neglect and abuse.

This is the first time in a year that police officers were deployed with body armour and guns in my town. The 48 year old man was heavily armed with a Zombie Knife, a Kitchen Knife and what is presumably a shotgun. He had barricaded himself inside of the home with the child and was threatening physical harm of himself and the child by shouting out of his window.

The police had negotiated him to come to the door with the child to seemingly give them over when they tried to pepper spray the man. He used to child to protect himself, and it is not disclosed but you can assume that it has done immense harm to the child. He had also thrown the child onto the floor in an attempt to strangle the officer that had tried to pepper spray him. He somehow got back into the house unharmed.

After three hours, the man was eventually arrested under suspicion of Affray, Assaulting An Emergency Worker, Attempted Grievous Bodily Harm, Child Neglect and Non Fatal Strangulation.

He will hopefully get more then ten years, but the local community is pressing for deportation.
