Emerald is cuddly. She and Oscar like to hug, and Oscar is just as touch starved as she is. Honestly I think hugging is their default interaction. Especially when Emerald is sleepy.

Oscar makes both of their beds every morning, or if they accidentally fall asleep cuddling, he makes that bed too. Honestly, Oscar just wants people to accept him and he likes helping out.

Emerald wakes up first. Not by long, they both sleep in like crazy people, but Oscar doesn't wake up early at all. (see here)

Oscar is the kid that vibes to the mario kart soundtrack. Moo moo meadows is his bop. Emerald respects his choice but prefers her punk.

They usually hug and sob together during movies. Emerald is more emotional though because Oscar has dealt with his bullshit already.

Nora has type 1 diabetes. Her pancreas went splonk one day when she was young.

She uses insulin pens, as trying to wear a pump would be complicated in battle (it would go flying). She also has a sensor canula to detect blood level changes on her thigh.

This is connected to Ren's scroll, who gets notifications when blood sugars rise or fall. Nora forgets a lot but Ren prompts her a lot.

Ren takes up cooking in order to learn better how to count carbs and balance Nora's diet. He says he doesn't want her eating lots of sugar, but actually he makes pancakes so Nora has slow acting carbs going throughout the day. Nora uses lots of sugar so slow acting carbs are helpful.

He also carries around Grimm shaped Haribos for fast action. When they were little, he used to tell her that she was slaying Grimm by eating them.

Nora trusts Ren to remind her to inject and test because she has self destructive tendancies and cannot remember shit.

Jaune injects his trans gamer juice at the same time Nora injects her consume donut juice because they both hate needles.

Oscar and Penny are also maybe both diabetic and I wrote an entire fic about that, but Penny uses an internal pump. Penny is only diabetic by default because she's a robot, she has to use an artificial pancreas. Yes, Penny does have a working digestive system.

Oscar keeps a medical pump on one of his belts but good luck finding it.

Yes, Jaune can boost aura to heal hypos. That does work. Nora and Oscar are both in his debt.

Nora spends most of her time with lower blood sugars despite eating like a crazy person because she burns through bg like a mad woman.

Nora's blood sugars are hypersensitive to the cold so that just means hot chocolate with sachets of sugar poured in doesn't it.

Clover likes hugs and cuddles and is generally very grabby. You don't get many hugs in the military so he likes to bear hug Qrow as much as possible.

Clover also makes the bed. Idk Qrow is pretty messy. I imagine he tidies up for Clover, but he still doesn't make the bed.

Qrow wakes up first. He's used to it after following RNJR across Anima. Clover is an early riser, but Qrow is up at 3am.

Idk I imagine Clover listens to traditional Irish music, that stuff you get in Irish pubs which sound like sea shanties. That's his vibe. Qrow likes Nirvana.

Qrow is an uncle, so naturally he is protective of Clover. He is going to murder Harriet any day now.

Clover fuckin BELTS in the shower. He sounds like the guy from the SpongeBob theme.

Qrow probably cries more in movies. He's a mourner this stuff upsets him yano.

Ruby is the cuddler. Oscar does not initiate physical contact. But he does enjoy it.

Ruby wakes up early. She does this in V1 E9 and again when Penny wakes her up in V7 E5 (I think.) Oscar sleeps in and ponders the meaning of life.

Ruby shares Blake's taste of early 2010s emo music, which is pretty odd but Oscar likes escalator music and random theme tunes. Catch Oscar vibing to the Wii Fit soundtrack.

Ruby is EXTREMELY protective of her friends in general. This doubles for smoll farm children.

While I can't imagine them showering together, I can imagine Oscar making drum noises or harmonies outside the bathroom for Ruby's rather impressive shower singing. Ruby is definitely a Hamilton fan. She's probably a HamilBurr shipper.

Nora has annual check in appointments. Or, she did. Once she was diagnosed, she had appointments in Mistral.

Ren would come with her and they would hold hands the entire time because appointments were stressful for Nora.

Nora got in trouble with the dietician a lot (can relate) and Ren attempted for a while to feed her healthier food. Eventually, they just ended up eating pancakes all day. Nobody can complain because she exercises like a crazy person.

She also had a psychologist for a while. Ren used it more than her.

Beacon had free healthcare (she used to pay by taking small huntsman jobs... Illegally)

She also gets her sensor at beacon "for professional missions"

When they return to Mistral, the dietician still recognises them (and scolds her for her eating habits)

Nora fucking hates going hyper. It means she can't eat and risk her bloods going up, and it means she gets consistently more angry and worked up, and she becomes thirsty quickly, and it's all very irritating.

When her bloods are high, Weiss usually holds her still to give her her pen injections. With a glyph. Suspended upside down.

Oscar wakes up late frequently in Mistral and Atlas. Jaune and Ruby spend ages trying to pinpoint why this was happening. It was worrying them a little before they realised he was staying up late to talk to Ren and Nora (Nora also heavily sleeps in and Ren has caffeine instead of blood). He super enjoyed making friends and it was fucking exhausting him. Bed warm, friends nice. They guess they just presumed he was an early bird.
