It is said that “Setsugetsuka ‘Snow Moon Flower’ meaning ‘the beauty of the seasons’” is the foundation of the spiritual nature of the Japanese people. A Japanese style revue unique to Takarazuka, woven with the theme of the beauty of the four seasons, and the emotions that are created from them. In order to present the appeal of Japanese style dance revue performed to Western music, a tradition unique to Takarazuka Revue, to as many audiences as possible, we will create by using famous songs that are loved by many around the world. Furthermore, this production will be supervised by Bando Tamasaburo, who is currently active not only in the Kabuki scene, but in various scenes. This will be his first supervision for the Takarazuka Revue.
ミュージカル MUSICAL 『ピガール狂騒曲』Capriccio Pigalle ～シェイクスピア原作「十二夜」より～ From Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night 作・演出／原田 諒 Written & Directed by Harada Ryo
1900, Paris. Pigalle, a red-light district located in the foot of the hills of Montmatre. It is a place where many artists gathered, and much love was in the air. Shifting the world of Shakespeare’s comedy masterpiece “Twelfth Night” to the good old era of the Belle Epoque (The Beautiful Age) in Paris’s Pigalle, this is a musical skillfully interweaving the famous people of the era. It is set at the “Moulin Rouge”, the still active famous music hall. In this place that can be called as the symbol of the times, a man and a woman, each concealing various secrets, coincidentally happens to meet. A love game unfolding from their feelings intertwining again and again, and rivalries of love is developed cheerfully and witfully, in this festival play. One of the highlights is the beautiful and gorgeous revue scene that decorates the music hall along with their romance. We will heighten up the bright and beautiful mood unique to the Spring season performance. This will be the debut performance for the 106th class.
