Today has been a nice day, all in all. I slept relatively well last night and opted to skip my morning workout. I’m not up for back-to-back cardio days quite yet, which is just fine.

I’m making big adjustments in the diet department with subbing my breakfasts for smoothies and lunches for grilled chicken salads. I’m a carb LOVER, so no one will take away my pasta. No one. 😁 I made this garlicky pasta with roasted tomatoes and grilled chicken for dinner and it was amaaazing.

I was so insanely frustrated with myself from July or so until very recently because I gained 10ish (okay, more like 15) pounds back after I stopped breastfeeding. Looking back with clearer eyes, no wonder I couldn’t lose weight successfully. I had so many other things to get straight before I could focus on that. I’m happy that the scale is now moving in the right direction again and am going to keep tracking my weight, but at the same time I’m mindful that balance is the goal overall. Slow and steady, right?
