Today I spent the day with someone I've known for 14 years. And I probably haven't seen her in about 12 years.

She's been in DC for about a year, and I'm out here in suburban Maryland and it took me this long to see her. We had lunch and went to the National Museum of Women in the Arts, but we also spent a lot of time reminiscing about our year as roommates in AL and catching each other up on where we are in our lives now.

I'm so happy to have had this day with her, and I know we'll do it again soon.

I titled this post as I did because of today's adventure, but also in anticipation of my first-year therapy appointment tomorrow morning. I don't really know what to expect, but I'm excited.

I know I need to be open and honest if I want to have this be a good experience.
