I'm pretty upset right now. I might've just completely messed up a friendship that matters a lot to me. The last thing I said was "let me know when you know if we're still friends," and the response was simply "ok." This really isn't completely my fault, but it feels like it is because I was being overly dramatic (the drama was not on purpose). The whole waiting for an answer thing is not my strong suit. Patience is something I struggle with. My mind immediately jumps to "everything is fine" or "everything is fucked." I've already apologized, so I must practice patience and perhaps apologize again later. Most friendships are not forever, though this one has seemed quite resilient despite its themes of dysfunction. In past arguments, our friendship has continued, often stronger, so there is no need for me to jump to the worst conclusion yet. Right now I can think about all the other friends and interests I have and remind myself that even without this friendship my life is fulfilling and happy.
