1 Peter 3:9
POLL FOR CHRISTIANS What do YOU go to when you have a problem in life?
Social media
God
Other
If you rarely go to God when you have a problem, please ask Him to help you do so instead of complaining on social media or to your acquaintances! That does absolutely nothing worthwhile! But prayer is worthwhile because God cares about YOU! God can help you with your problems if you will just ask! God cares about our problems, whether big or small!
1 Peter 5:6-7 KJV
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
"Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for 'All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.' And this word is the good news that was preached to you."
1 Peter 1:22-25 ESV
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all you anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his enteral glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-10

Jesus says in Matthew 13 that there will be those who hear the word of God and receive it joyfully, but will fall away from the faith after when persecution for the word arises.
The fact that Jesus Himself thought it necessary to bring up this type of situation really got me thinking.
With all due respect, what do you think the Christian life really is?
Secular media and lukewarm congregations have taken the image of Christianity and twisted it for their own gain, to the point that it’s beyond recognition.
Christianity isn’t just about showing up to church every Sunday, but having the attitude of coming into Christ’s presence everyday of our lives.
It’s not just about showing love to those who love us back, but to those we can’t stand and have wronged us more times than we can count.
It’s about proclaiming the truth to a world that has grown comfortable in its lies and distortions.
It’s about standing up for the name of Christ, while everyone else is bowing down to their own idols.
The Christian life is not a game, it’s a battleground.
When you were set apart by the Holy Spirit, and saved by the salvation of Jesus Christ, you became a solider in the Lord’s army. And just as solders expect push back and resistance from achieving their goal, so too should we.
Persecution will always be a part of the life of a true Christian. One cannot call themselves a follower of Jesus without facing persecution of some sort. Whether it be mean comments online, people calling you weird for not participating in worldly activities, or even to the point where your life is on the line, persecution will follow those filled with the Holy Spirit.
We were not set apart for a leisurely stroll. We were set apart for a marathon.
This is why Christ said that not many people will enter through the narrow gate. The path through it is grueling, less traveled, and made for those who are truly committed to making it to the end.
This is the real Christian life, for it reflects the life of Christ.
Jesus never shied away from telling those around Him what they needed to hear. He always showed love to those around Him. As 1 Peter 2:23 says, “He returned no insult”. He always had the attitude of being in the Father’s presence, never wanting to do a single thing that He would not approve of.
And He was murdered for it.
But the same power that raised Jesus from the dead had now secured your soul for eternity. The same power that has raised Jesus from the dead has raised you from being dead to your sins.
This is a war, but it’s a war that Jesus already won for us on the cross. By Him taking our punishment, we can share in His glory. But we must first share in His suffering.
The passion came before the resurrection. The persecution will come before the entrance into heaven.
God bless, Jesus loves you ✝️❤️
“For the one who wants to love life and to see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit, and let him turn away from evil and do what is good. Let him seek peace and pursue it, because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do what is evil.”
