I think that Gojo saying, “‘Gojo Satoru’ doesn’t matter anymore,” isn’t him saying that he doesn’t matter anymore.

I take it as more him saying that this brand, this belief of “Gojo Satoru, the strongest,” doesn’t matter as much anymore. it’s him saying that it’s not just about Gojo Satoru who can handle everything by himself, alone and who people look at and think, ‘Yeah, leave it to him. He can handle it on his own because he’s the strongest’

him saying that, to me, is him betting on the future and the strength of his students and the people around him. after all, he said before that he wanted to change this system (who only thought of him as the weapon/solution to everything) and raise the next generation of jujutsu sorcerers stronger than him (who will fight against this system).
