▸▸ — “I feel like people only say that to distract people like myself from believing what they can’t help but tell themselves.” A soft smile formed across Taeyong’s lips, a sense of undeniable loss filling him over the past week’s events. “But I appreciate the words of wisdom. It’s nice to hear it even if at the end of the day, my mind will still tell me the opposite. I’ll try my best to remind myself of it at least once a day, though.”
“Maybe that’s your problem?” Eyebrow raised as she looked towards the taller male. Despair and sadness were not unfamiliar feelings, but she also knew they were ones that weren’t worth dwelling on either. With a tilt of her head she continued. “Do whatever it takes so that you don’t let yourself dwell in those thoughts and feelings. They are like a giant pit of quicksand. Once you fall in it’s difficult to get out. Instead focus on things that bring out happiness. Or distract yourself with a past time that will take your mind off of it. Whatever the case, don’t let yourself ferment and turn into a pickle just because something bad happened. Instead be your happy cucumber self.” Pausing to laugh at her own dumb analogy, the laughter echoed for a few moments before she continued. “Or something like that.”
