fun with personality types: isfj
okay these are my quiet little selfless flowers.
Quiet, kind, and conscientious. Can be depended on to follow through. Usually puts the needs of others above their own needs. Stable and practical, they value security and traditions. Well-developed sense of space and function. Rich inner world of observations about people. Extremely perceptive of other's feelings. Interested in serving others.
patty is my only isfj in action that i can compare these guys to!! and idk this is just how i see you so if you read this and are just like "wat britt this isn't me wat are you smoking" then i apologize!! haha. anyways i think patty fits this type really well because she is quiet, kind AND conscientious. and i know that i CAN depend on her and she always follows through for me. she seems like the type to put others above herself too, and is really really perceptive to others feelings. she will text me and just know how i feel and its great luv u boo.
Felix Roselli; oh gosh you guys know who he is. in "mexico" he is angie's boyfriend, the selfless little butterfly she falls in love with. see, he is incredibly quiet. he's really kind too, he let angie basically have his car behind his parents' backs. and he could be depended on. he took care of her and he tried to get her away from the life the both of them were leading. he put all of her needs above his own. it's not in the short story but angie has anger issues and is violent when she's having an outburst but felix wouldn't run away from that, he took her punches and stuck by her to get her through it. he is very level-headed and just wanted security - so he wanted out of drug trade, he just didn't know how exactly. and of course, he's spectacular at reading others. he knew angie wasn't the age she said she was but he didn't call her on it because he didn't want to upset her. he's mostly interested in helping and serving others and "saving" angie. he could also read and understand his family. he was serving them selflessly before angie came along and upon realizing that angie loved him, and they were essentially using him - he grew bitter toward them but would never let that show because he's too selfless.
kennet hatch; he appears in the band novel. he's a merch kid and he was the one to take in the main character under his wing and show her the ropes. he's quiet and reserved but in his own element he opens up. he was dependable and followed through with what the others asked of him and had a very good sense of space and function. he valued the friends he made and when he figured out he had feelings for someone, he almost didn't act on them for fear of messing up his environment's security and serenity. he is one of those that have this personality type but he also deals with a "bug" in his personality type that affects his choices and messes things up. while he doesn't have control over it, he still suffers from the problem that contrasts immensely with his peaceful, kind, and giving nature.
Colby Gage; this girl is Brooklyn's younger sister and contrasts with her through the one personality trait. she's reserved and is a big feeler with lots of emotions. it's why she doesn't understand her sister because her sister is a big 'ole T. this girl is the type who will allow herself to be stepped on if others are happy. that's not to say that inside her introspective head she isn't resentful of what others are doing, but on the outside she will remain serene. she's in school and she wants nothing more than stability and happiness, no matter what. she LOVES her friends more than anything and is always there for them to help them through whatever troubles they may have and will know if they're upset before they even do. she can read them like books, but won't always say what she reads out loud. she just wants to help keep the people around her happy.
meg daniels; from the same tale as colby, meg is what can be defined as a pushover. she's great at reading others and knows what goes on in their heads but she's not going to call them on it because it would screw up her security. she's textbook almost. she suffers an abusive boyfriend at one point but goes back to him because she's very concerned with keeping him happy instead of herself. whereas others i've explained aren't particularly interested in this, meg is huge on aesthetics and it's her passion. she's also rigidly organized and wants her surroundings perfect. she's a pushover until someone messes with that part and then she'll get on them. she's not one to openly say HEY I DON'T LIKE YOU, YOU'RE NOT MAKING ME HAPPY. but she'll vent her feelings to someone she trusts or she'll write it all down to keep herself at ease.
kiera sykes; she's from the sixteen-types project. and is my prototype isfj. she's a soccer player and a writer but she can't decide between the two and which she wants to define her. this battle, however, is waged in her head or on paper, never for others to see. she's very aware of her surroundings and understands what she can or can't project into them at any time for any desired result. she uses this to control them, in a way. she's not big on keeping things organized but she's a rigid planner and knows her schedule months in advance. she's also a feeler and her feelings come out very strongly. if she loves something/someone, then she LOVES THEM. very, very much. and they will know it too. otherwise, everything is kept inside.
