Dear self, It’s the 182nd day of the year which means half of the year is over. Didn’t you welcome this year strong and faithful? Weren’t you a person who is goal-oriented with unshakable faith during the last day of 2014? We really couldn’t predict things, could we? But hey. Whatever battle you are facing right now, I know you can make it through. You still have half of the year to make it memorable. Not only do you have 6 months left but even more years for you to make memories. You may not be able to give people a reason to remember your name for now but I hope that someday you will. I hope you do not spend the rest of your days putting your happiness on the palm of other people. You know they’ll drop it, don’t you?

I tell you, dear self. You may be dependent upon them for you to be able to see your self-worth but I hope you stop. You know that’s bullshit, don’t you? I hope that you’ll get rid of the acid rain in your mind to keep it from killing the flowers in your heart. I hope you won’t spend your time feeling pathetic towards yourself for the rest of your life. You’ll always end up being the one wiping your ass off, drying your tears, and helping you get up.

Go against the current of sadness. You’re alive and you can go against those waves. You just can’t let them carry you wherever they will. Keep on swimming, or better yet explore the depth of this ocean of bullshit. It may be ironic that I kept on telling you things like you should build a wall so high but I really hope you won’t be afraid to take risks. They will always be worth it. It may not happen the way you expect it to be but it surely will give you an experience which either you will run from or take as a lesson.
